Fundraising
We are proud to be locally owned and operated which allows us to give back to our community. We average over $6000 a year in charitable giving. Each year we receive many requests for donations and sponsorships and in order to process the requests, we ask the following:
- Each request must be in writing with the organization’s Tax ID #
- Requests must be submitted at least one month prior to event for consideration
- All requests will be handled individually and thorough consideration will be given to each request. Please understand that we are unable to accommodate each and every request.
Here are some fund-raising ideas:
Tile Mural Walls.
Sell vouchers for unpainted tiles for a big mural at your school or church! You set the sale price (i.e. $25) for families to paint a tile for a community art project! We have helped a couple area schools raise more than $7000 collectively with this type of project.
Painting Pass Proceeds.
A great fund-raiser for a sports team. Give each team-member a stack of “painting passes” to hand out to friends and family. Every time someone uses a “Paint Pass” on a purchase during a designated time, we give 10% of the purchase to the team.
Standard Auction Donation.
Our standard donation for auctions is a gift certificate.
Services.
Our customizing services are available and we can add names or details to handprint/fingerprint pieces intended for auctions. Our custom work charge is $20.00 per hour.
Scout Troops or Field Trips.
“Party” fee of $2.50 per person, plus the price of the pottery for scout groups or school field trips to the studio. Subject to availability.
Coupons.
We are able to provide printed coupons for organizations to distribute among event attendees or participants. Call for details.
Auction Ideas
Look at the gallery of photos below to see what other groups have created for their school auctions. Thumbprint creations are always popular! We are happy to help you create a perfect piece for your fundraiser!
We are pleased to be part of the String of Pearls organization which provides a nurturing and safe place for families as they navigate the path following a fatal prenatal diagnosis. They provide guidance, compassion and practical suggestions as plans to honor the life of pre-born babies are crafted. For more information, you can contact us or visit the String of Pearls website.
Also, another cause near and dear to us is The Children’s Hospital here in Denver. We donate our time and materials about 3-5 times a year when we take pottery, paint and other materials to The Children’s Hospital to give the kids a fun and interesting activity. In addition, for every Teddy Bear bank painted at the studio, we donate 10% directly to The Children’s Hospital.
We are also supporters of the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation a Colorado non-profit corporation formed by Julie and Doug Hutchison to help individuals, particularly children and young adults, who have epilepsy. The main focus is to raise funds to pay for trained seizure-response dogs that can help detect when a person may be having a seizure, provide warnings and/or respond after a seizure by calling 911, getting help or breaking a fall.
Pictured here is the Hornak family in front of the “Connections” display at Southwest Plaza Mall. We helped create this tile project which raises awareness for ADHD through the local chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
